anyone seem to think that escorting the bots and building the heavy turrets as almost useless?

i mean unless a team just goes in and wrecks a team in under 5 minutes which seems to be the golden rule before overtime(because they usually don't build any turrets so the bots can easily bring the ball down) it almost ALWAYS goes into overtime.

which raises another issue it makes it so its best just to go for kills/whatever gives the most money on the best juiced up classes tank/assault/sniper upgrade your skills enough just to kill the bots/opposing players then when its overtime used all the saved up money to buy juice and insta kill the enemies moneyball..

recently i have not given a crap about making turrets building bots and just used the strategy and usually this is how every game plays out...even getting the annihilator every time isnt enough to push into there base...

i cant really think of a way to remedy the situation other then possibly either beef up the bots or make the turrets less powerful or atleast have less health or such..

another way to remedy the situation is possibly make the juice buying only limited to one per a player per a match or increase the amount it cost each time or just nerf the player damage to the moneyball when juiced

i hope not to appear hostile this is my favorite online game right now and i just wish to make it better :D

It depends on the map for me, there are certain maps i will build longshots and just keep them alive to defend the base, and the game will be a good one.

Else, ill be assassin/sniper and the game never makes it to overtime.

all i know is that i think its really dumb that i can take a moneyball down to 25% in one juice run as a tank..

You're completely right. There are times when me and two buddies will play and if the other 3 on the team are just out trying to get kills we can sometimes lose. 90% of the games to to OT because all people try and do is go for kills. I see classes that are amazing at killing bots just going in for the PVP kill with 8 opposing bots around them then darting off in the opposite direction.

This pisses me off like NO OTHER. So much so that I find I'll quit the game for the night because I'm so angry at my team. I'm spending money on turrets and going to open lanes while everyone else dicks around.

I also agree that overtime changes the nature of the game negatively.

I am one of those players who really enjoys the "tower defense" aspects of the game, such as the escorting of the bots and the building and upgrading of the towers.

It's unfortunate when you can tell an opposing team is just saving up cash and running down the clock so that they can all juice-rush your Moneyball. That being said, you always have the option of beating them before OT if they take this tactic, but it can be exceedingly hard to do if they station a few Gunner and Support Pros in their base as a defense.

I'd like to see Uber switch to just spawning plenty of Jackbots in OT and not bringing down the Moneyball. Even if more games ended as a tie, I think it would preserve the core gameplay. Right now there is a fairly large group of players who are making the game less fun for the rest of us by ignoring the core gameplay elements in favor of an endgame juice-rush.

I'm lovin' MNC, and I hope Uber can really nail their first update!

I'm not really sure I agree. I find taking down turrets as a gunner pretty easy whether or not the other team is jumping around the map only going for kills. Supports can take early turrets down in one shot with airstrike then place their firebase in an out of the way area to kill enemy bots at the source. Right there you have your bots walking unopposed to an enemy base, if you can keep the other pros busy then they're in and the balls down.

I've also seen in game and on casts where the team will not build a single turret and all just go for the middle for kills. Then after a while they're stuck at their own base trying to deal with bots on their own because all they have are two level 1 rocket turrets with no hacks on them. They get rolled over because they spend too much time killing bots since they have no defenses, rather than containing the enemy. other team either build defenses or pushed bots.

As for the long range turrets, as a support I always take level 2 hack, build one longshot further back and one laser turret closer up. I then hack the longshot for range and eventually with upgrades it could pelt the enemy base, wasting their money on more built turrets.

Generally I find that the team who destroys defenses, keeps the enemy contained and pushes their bots are the ones who win, even in overtime. If you're constantly spending money on turrets that are just blown up you'll have less for your own skills or juice, and when overtime comes usually it's the team with a bunch of bots and pros in the defenseless enemy base that are going to take it home...

It's too easy to win in overtime then it is in regular play, i'd prefer a draw then juice rushing as it is now, ruins the fun for me.

Overtime could just spawn jackbots, not drop the moneyball shields and nothing else, it would be so much better. (pro's dropping the shields would have to be fixed too)
