I just want to hear yours.

    Personally I would go for:

    MONDAY NIGHT KOMBAT

I could come up with a moveset for each character with button based finishers. I could see the assaults finisher as a head-crab followed by a level 3 charge grapple. As the enemy flies the assault activates the bomb.

The assassins finisher could be simply showing her face.

Ultimate Sumo map is the first thing.

With a golden fence of course.

-lane bouncers/gremlins/(buzzers?) (like blackjack/slim/gapshot as in stay with lane)
    -more levels for turrets
    -more levels for abilities
-abilities starting at lvl0 (= not available)
    -setup time/warmup round
    -playercount increase
-if above is possible, then spectator mode
-movement physics change, in that momentum is retained and stacks on other movement/momentum boosts
    -explosion momentum increase
    -possibly jumpjet fuel mechanic redone
    -possibly different bomb mechanic
-if any animators/modelers around... more characters/weapons/bots/turrets!!!!!
-dm mode where everyone has every gun.... havent thought out the idea of abilities yet tho.... cos... everyone having every ability would require too many binds + be way too OP (though i guess everyone would be... )
-dota mode, more bot/turret health, different health/rof/stuff balance basically... would be cool if new heroes/pros would be added, otherwise a bit lacking
-making juice unique per class, like say for example... support spawning bots(?), tank getting damage reduction per juice point(?), etc

i can probably think of more... but... right now my mind is blank
but i can't really be sure any of it is possible 'till we get the tools though

Will the modding actually be easy to do or is it really complicated? Do I need to know coding and related things or is it simple enough for someone with no modding experience to figure out.

mapping is the easy part, you can do that with pre existing stuff, but if you want to make a map that doesnt look like a mashup of all other maps together you will have to create some 3d models.
mapping also supports the Kismet scripting language which allows you to do simple scripting using blocks to create a diagram. These can be used for timed events on your map and more or less everything that influences the map itself

want to make custom bots with their own AI or a new gametype? you will have to learn unrealscript, the basics are easy to learn, but the complicated stuff which you need for most mods can be quite tricky to learn.

BTW i noticed a bug has been fixed in the server query response.
there was a bug that the map was always returned as HostileLobby (uberent used a number to identify the map not this variable) i' m not sure which update but it now actually returns the correct map.

Also i noticed some console command somehting along the lines of ShowBSP.
BSP is standard geometry used in the unreal editor

Would these be an indication of an upcoming patch which will add modding tools  ?

modding tools will probably be useful for basic map editors, any custom modes etc would require some knowledge in programming
that's just my assumption, unless all this time spent, was for making the most user-friendly mod tool that requires no advanced knowledge of programming at all!!

if i had the mod tools, i wouldn't be using it and would still be playing the game full-time.
srsly though, i'll mostly be making maps

While thinking of custom game variants I thought this up. Originally it was based off of a All Gunner team vs. an All Support team.

Supports have the high ground while the Gunners have low.
The idea is that the firebases and air strikes work better from a higher elevation and the Mortars work better from a lower elevation.
Gunner would have to get the high ground to win only using Mortars and their skills.
Supports would have to defend the high ground only using Firebases and Air Strikes. Of course they can heal the firebases.

This then lead to many thoughts of other "Class A vs. Class B" game variants, the only problem with that is they would need a specific map for them.

Yeah kinda off-topic-ish but yeah I would work on/out different game modes.

Fans Who Brought Their Sniper Rifles From Home

A server mutator. If Mickey Cantor ever says his line "Fans who brought their sniper rifles from home are also welcome to take a shot at our mascot, Bullseye!" then for the entirety of that mascot round, sniper rounds will enter play from the boundaries of the map, targeting (mostly unsuccessfully) Bullseye. Adds a new twist to the mascot round... shoot him for money, but don't get too close or you might die in the crossfire...

I have started to feel that Uber has somehow managed to mess everything up and there will never be any mod tools / map editors or such. I have thought of some maps, but I guess I leave the mapping for others.

Imma try my hardest to rework the lunge/grapple mechanics. I'm hoping it will be as simple as changing an existing value to a variable linked to another value. But I have a feeling it's not going to be that easy.

    Also, a chat filter.

And if I have time, a bacon Katana skin/Churro Dagger skin. I'm hoping someone else will do that though, my models suck.

After that I might get into mapping some lowgrav stuff to see how the Unreal Engine handles it.
