It's an honest question.
They probably won't tell us the timeline for either...
I don't think the HR Kickstarter has any influence on how fast the server is being developed. If at all it should give them a very good reason to spent all day and all night working on the server release.
Well at least now we probably know why they stopped working on Custom Commanders after the first 7.
Why do you say this when the KS says that offline won't be in HR?
Do you really think they can just copy paste the server from PA into HR?
They are not going to say anything, Uber is way to busy promoting HR and they got no time PA jibberish
It would simply be much easier than making from scratch.
last i checked concept artists didn't program. I don't think we'd be any further along.
I'm sure the design department was incredibly important to the server development and it has set it back by years.
Can you imagine if they did?! The horror!
To be honest, by the look of the planets and the props we have available, im not entirely sure what the artists have done.
can you imagine how long they'd spend trying to get the IDE code colour scheme right.
<joke>They were so bored with PA's art mostly complete that they started to work on the server. The HR KS is a great plan to get the designers away from the server so it finally can actually be made to work.</joke>
What are you saying?
Jokes. I laughed at the idea of a team of 3d artists writing broken code.
No, but the art department is still in charge of delivering the 80+ custom commanders that many backers are still waiting on.
And, there's still plenty of room for improvement in PA's art. Biomes still need tons of work.
Maybe but how about the sound guys yep totally working on server code and the custom commanders, or the cinematics team or the concept artist because you know, concept artist don't normally do 3d modelling or how about the lonely art worker.
I guess in an ideal world even the janitor is a c++ programmer with 3d modelling and animation experience, sadly thats just not the case
So you're saying, everyone who is working on HR couldn't work on PA?
Well, that's simply not true.
The simple fact of the matter is that there are people who could be working on PA are now working on another game, when PA isn't even remotely near finished nor anywhere near a fulfillment of the Kickstarter promises.
HR is at a different stage than PA, different stages require different skills sets, Yes sometimes there is overlap, but in this case it's negligible. I dont get why this is so hard for some to understand, maybe because they have axe's to grind or agenda's to pursue.
