What bot would you choose to spawn? 1)Bouncers 2)Buzzers 3)Gremlins 4)Gap Shots 5)Scramblers Considering you could only spawn the new bot.... Would you choose to spawn different bots if the cost increased by $50? 1) Yes 2) No Would you choose to spawn different bots if the cost increased by $100? 1) Yes 2) No
well it would matter by what class you currently play as most of the time. I play Support and Assault, and im fine with their bots but being able to spawn some gremlins once in a while would be nice even a scrambler. And 50 i could see 100 just seems a little too high. Funny thing is i just posted a reply in a discussion earlier about how people think some of the bots are useless. And i wrote It would be cool if you could pick your bots just like an endorsement.
Yes it was an interesting thought. I was curious to see what bots people would spawn if they could permanently switch ALL of their positions to a certain bot. This would prevent someone from respawning as gunner mk 3 to spawn gapshots, and then as gunner mk 4 to spawn bouncers.
I'll take Gapshots for 100 alex. Gremlins would be my second preference. 150 is the most I would consider paying for ANY bot. 3 Gap shots or 12 Gremlins for 450 vs 500 for a juiced tank is a pretty easy call for me. (Especially since i'll make back at least half to all of the money while juiced in most cases.
Considering I am usually just waiting to buy juice I would gladly pay 150 and possibly 200 for cross class bots. Gremlins released at the right time will drop the ball and are therefore sometimes better than juice. I would also go with gapshots first and then gremlins.
gapshots, easily sometimes when I have excess money against a turtling team, I'll switch to support for a minute just to spawn a bunch of gapshots
I didn't want to say anything but I kinda figured everyone would say gapshots or gremlins. That's part of the reason I suggested that switching your bots would make them cost more.
Honestly I don't see why people hate on bouncers so much, if you get out a few at once and travel with them they make awesome distractions. Kinda like having an extra terrible team member but for 100$ Overhealing them is also awesome. Id pay 5--100 extra for gremlins while playing sniper xD
And I can kill a sniper across grenade III while deployed without my helmet if I have a full overheal and bacon. But what are the odds of that happening? Back when you could spawn bouncers quickly they were still terrible. I tried many times to spawn 4 and them move in with them. On some of the smaller spawn maps I made 3 on each side and then moved in with them. They suck. They were complete crap when people didn't realize alternate fire grapple is really good against bouncers. They are worse now that everyone knows how to kill them efficiently. They suck when you need about 4 of them to have any effect. And when you start thinking about other things you could buy you realize that everything else is better. Should I buy 3 bouncers or save for juice? The answer is always save for juice. You can use juice to guarantee that you win a close fight. You can use juice to hose an entire base full of turrets. Or you can make 3 crappy bots that are easily destroyed or avoided by every class. Bouncers really need some attention. They can't kill anyone with one grapple and their lunge takes a while to recharge so they are just not effective. If they had a laser beam eye attack then they might approach the category of cost effective. But they don't so it is irrelevant. People scatter when they see gremlins. People rush out to kill gap shots. No one bats an eye at a bouncer.
