Its 90% likely that these are already on the long list of things yet to be implemented but Ima post them anyways: command for a group of units to only move as fast as the slowest unit in said group Command for active patrol (like you take a scout out of said group of units and set him to patrol around x radius of central unit so that the scout patrols around the group as they move) And last but not least (this one isnt a command more of a general improvement) when you queue movements for a unit have them hit the waypoint and keep going rather than stopping at it. also another I JUST though of: make bombers in large groups fly in formation. Again Im sure most if not all of these have been brought up at least once before but I wanted to make a thread regardless.
1 - Formations, discussed into the ground, back out again, and then back into the ground. 2 - Really good idea, bold this please. 3 - Intelligent assist orders, should be implemented later on 4 - Hopefully will be done, I haven't noticed this though. 5 - One way or another I hope this happens, because bomber stacks are almost as bad as Master of Orion, except that you can't hit them all at once.
Yeah, right now this is rather annoying as I will line up bomber runs using movement waypoints and attacks as to hit the target I want and taking out AA turrets is quite difficult when your units all get shot down since they decided to all stop in the middle of bombing runs
This. Click patrol, right click on center point (and hold), then drag sideways to set radius. This would generate an appropriate number of patrol points in a circle defined by the radius around the center point. No extra UI buttons needed, and this "hold & drag" mechanic is already used when constructing (which doesn't overlap with this) so it's familiar. Issuing a guard order in a similar fashion will make the patrol points relative to the location of the unit as it moves.
It is basically a TA guard command with a custom radius movement. This would be useful to set planes in patrol around a base instead of making a sort of circle with patrol command. Also, instead of targeting a unit with this command, it could be attributed to a point to patrol around.
