Crazy achievements, things you always wanted but never dared to ask for go here:

    Adrenalin Junkie
Playing more than X games in 24 hours

    Coffee Zombie
Playing more than 8 hours without > 30 minutes brake between games

    Rooster Hat
Killing Shadow in an online match
(Similar achievements for all other devs would be nice too. Some ideas: Anti-Neutrino (obvious), 20.000 Miles under the Sea (EkaNAUT), ScatHim (obvious), Uber Ninja (AZO)... (I had an idea for Nyx but she'd skin me alive... xD))

    GO!

I like the idea of non boostable achievements like the playtime ones but virus achievements can be annoying if the guy you need it for doesn't play anymore. (not that I'm saying they wont play but they cant be in every game at once and will be busy most of the time.)Maybe killing the devs gives you special protags or something.

I hope there are some life time achievements like kill a total of 10000 players or something.

Keep in mind that on XBLA we don't get as many achievement points as a retail title. This is something that we would like to change but it's not up to us.

We do have our own in-game system with all kinds of unlockables for doing the really crazy career stuff so ideas are welcome on that front.

Oh yeah in game achievements are a good idea, But its hard to think of ideas for the achievements at this point.

Retail games get 1000gp with a 50 achievement limit. (with the exception of The Orange Box having 99)
XBLA games get 200gp with a 12 achievement limit. (Perfect Dark Remake is going to have 20 but I'm not sure if thats a new limit for XBLA games or if they are just letting it slide because its PD)

Both retail and XBLA games can get more achievements through DLC and patches.(but DLC with achievements will come at a price)
DLC achievements for retail games usually come in 250gp with 1-10 achievements.
DLC achievements for XBLA games usually come in 50gp with 2-4 achievements.

Usually all games are allowed 1 free DLC but at the choice of the devs/publisher or whoever deals with it idk, But thats just a rumor I heard.

Okay, maybe you can implement it on the PC then? I would think Impulse/Steam won't be such dicks about a feature that essentially is just for fun.

    Also, what are gp?

GP = Gamer Points. Basically useless and ruins online multi-player.
    Its like

    Achievement: Get a double kill
    Points: 10
Description: Kill 2 people within 4 seconds of both kills.

Some achievements like finishing campaign are usually like 100 points.

Also if its an in game achievements system the devs can do what they want with that but with the xbox achievements Microsoft trys to limit it to a certain amount so all games give an equal amount of points.

Thanks for the info. Only 12 (or even 20) achievements seem a pretty harsh limit. I mean, it's not like storing that information would take up server space or something. o_O

Probably a good thing then that MS is staying out of PC gaming. Who knows what they would come up with if they had a monopoly on that too... xD

I believe it's because you can use gamer points to buy other games, could be wrong though as i don't have a 360

This is why we have in-game unlockables. There are a ton of different things you can do to earn these.

Are the unlockables all combined with stat increases or do we get vanity upgrades that just looks nice as well?

There are hundreds of ProTags in the game that get unlocked as you do various things with the different Pros/Classes. Those unlocked ProTags can be assigned to your player as bragging rights during kill moments. They also come into play during create a class.

I'm sorry, those achievement ideas sound terrible.

They are the same, bland and generic ones that you usually see on a regular Xbox Live game.

Perhaps you should re-think these over and try thinking of ones that sound a bit more, oh I don't know...different?

Plus, what in the world is a "Shadow", anyway?

    That makes more sense.

Yet it's just another "viral" achievement, like most games.

Sue me, I'm a PC gamer, we don't pay much attention to achievements usually. That's why I asked for suggestions. ;)

Why would YOU specifically need to ask for suggestions when you just literally said "we don't pay much attention to achievements"?

    You're contradicting yourself.

The suggestions are not for him, they are for the game.

MNC is not out yet so theres a possibility his suggestions will be taken under consideration by the devs.

(Also people who don't pay much attention to achievements need suggestions because they want alittle feedback from the people who do pay attention to them)
