I know this idea may seem bad, but if you're going to post feedback, please read at least most of it.

Anyway, I got the idea when I was thinking about an old Warcraft 3 game: Hero Line Wars. It's a game mode where two teams each had a small strip of isolated land, and they'd play as heroes. The other team would buy monsters to send over to the enemies. Each team would have to keep the monsters away from their goal. If monsters reached the goal, the team would lose life until they lose the game.

Now, imagine this in MNC. Wait - this is familiar, isn't it? Goal? Moneyball? Heroes? Pros? Monsters? Bots? Hero Line Wars? ...two-way Blitz?

My idea is to have a game mode (technically Crossfire) in which two teams indirectly attack each other by sending bots into the enemy base. Red bots would spawn in the blue base, and blue bots would spawn in the red base. While it would be possible for one team to invade the other team's base, the bot invasions should be intense enough to ensure that offense is not the primary focus.

As the game goes on, the bots would get continually stronger, to prevent eternal matches. Since a player can only get so strong, one team would eventually be overrun. Teams could spawn bots to attack the other team. Maybe neutral bots that attack both teams?

For defensive measures, turrets would be placed in key positions: where one team's base starts, near bot spawns, and around the moneyballs. Ejectors would also exist, though rare.

I'd like to hear some feedback. I've been creating a conceptual version of the map for my own amusement, so if you guys like the idea, I can post it. I won't try to describe it, though, as it's somewhat confusing.

A central bot spawn leading to the enemy base would sever a similar purpose. Buying bots in the middle(where they spawn) and having one annihilator between the teams. Bot purchases should be entire waves, and should be priced accordingly. Right now if you push into an offensive position, that acts as your defense as well. If the spawn was in the middle, and your bots never met, offense and defense would be split.

Controlling the middle would be vital(as it is now) but for a different reason. Holding down your base would be a huge focus, and the stronger bot waves later would emphasize that. When you build juice you have a choice, defend against the super bots or go after enemy defenses.

Only bots should deal moneyball damage in this. To keep the focus on them.

I like the idea. Would obviously need some tweaking, but it has potential.

Unfortunately I see this more as a mod-driven game mode. It would take a ton of effort for Uber to get it up, and they need to focus on some other stuff atm(mod support, and the new map).

I think you might've misunderstood. I created a reference picture of the map in MSPaint, so try not to laugh at the quality. I decided not to include the neutral bots, because I'm not sure how good of an idea that is.

The grey area is neutral. Red area is for Hotshots, and blue for Icemen. The stars represent ejector positions. The hexagonal star in the middle is the annihilator. The purple spots are juice buying locations. Triangles are turret nubs. Black lines are walls.

In the top corners, that's where the bots will spawn. They'll go to the first star, then to the second star, and then try to get at the moneyball.

I'm thinking that, maybe, pros can only cross into the other team's side when the moneyball's shields are down. This would make sure that the teams focus on defense and don't try to just crush the other team.

Also, I don't expect Uber to make this. I've worked with mapmaking for a while, and I've been considering learning how to do it with the Unreal engine.

I would enjoy something like this. If you've played Runescape (Don't worry, I quit years ago) my favorite minigame was Trouble Brewing, where you would have to manage your own side of the map while trying to sabotage your enemy's side.

Dude! Get your old acct, you and me gotta go and play this sometime. We guna kick some ***!

I was joking in case you didn't want to or don't have the acct. But that was a fun minigame. Brewing rum with key ingredients scattered across an island, the opponent's brewery across the island from yours, bridges and water sources and brewing equipment that could be sabotaged, a whole team that had to split up getting ingredients, and not all ingredients were raw so some had multiple steps you had to do to get or make them.
