It would be cool if you could declare planet to be your capital once certain reguirements are met (for example X amount of units and commander statipned in there) Units on your own capital planet would have for example +10% damage, but loosing capital planet would give you -10% damage for 1 hour. Don't have game yet, but it looks and sounds so good i am 100% certain i buy it at some point
Do you mean in galactic war? Because I see that messing up in the normal game, at least how it stands at the moment...
You could have systems that unlock the use of the metal worlds for a one time supper weapon, like destroying a planet before a battle begins, or by manufacturing additional commander units to start a battle with.
I'd prefer against a stat boost- however I can see the idea of 'Capital Planets' being something to consider for GW... Defeating your enemy's capital could be an end condition (optional) for if you wanted a short campaign.
Or a mining planet, or intel station, or transport hub or space dock. The possibilities for an in-game buff while playing Galactic War would be really interesting. To have players be the "underdog" based on who's attacking who, and whatever else their faction controls. I'd be cool with that. But I don't think it belongs in Ladder play.
