I need help getting the new version of PA for steam.

I cant seem to get the newest patch 49789. Steam wont update it and since its on steam I can not download it here. Somebody please help me.

Use the Uber Launcher and it'll automatically update/patch the game.

Option 1: Restart Steam
* Open Steam
* Click on Steam (top left) -> Exit (closing the window with the X doesn't actually exit steam).
* Open Steam again
Hopefully it'll start downloading

Option 2: Verify Local Files
* Open Steam
* Go to Library
* Right click on Planetary Annihilation -> Properties
* Local Files -> Verify Integrity of Game Cache...
It'll scan all the files and hopefully make it realize it needs to update

Option 3: Change Steam Region
* Open Steam
* Click on Steam -> Settings
* Downloads -> Download region, try another region
The local region's server might not yet have the update for the game. Steam has a lot of content servers and it can take a while to distribute the update them all.

Option 4: Wait a bit
* Open Steam
* Go to Library
* Play something else for a bit
Eventually Steam will realize it needs to update. Whenever you are running a game Steam won't look for or download updates for it. You might just need to leave it alone for a little bit.

Option 5: Use the Planetary Annihilation Launcher
* Download installer for launcher https://store.uberent.com/download/pasetup.exe
* Run installer
* Run game from launcher instead of using Steam
Launcher will forcibly update the game each time it's run. This is a separate copy of the game from the Steam version, so it does mean you have the game installed in two locations. Graphics settings (and eventually keyboard bindings) will be shared between the two afaik. You will have to enter in your Ubernet user name and password (twice!) when using the launcher though, where as the Steam version remembers you once you've linked your account.

Thank you guys it was just the update was not on the steam server. FYI I was in Pittsburgh and now I am on Washington.

Umm round of applause for the UBER guys who quickly respond to these threads. Seriously you guys know your stuff and the thanks you get for this....I've never seen the attention to details....any other game I have to work it out myself
