I joined a server, and requested some sumo(knowing full well I would get maybe a max of one yes and a flurry of no's) Instead of saying no, people didn't respond. As such, I called in the law of sumo and declared that due to to a lack of response, all those who do not sumo/melee me are pansies(similar to the TF2 melee rule). After a few games of getting maybe 5-7 kills a game with only slams and grapples, people started saying I was a waste of a slot, and proceeded to attempt to votekick me. It didn't work. I had this nice long discussion and people eventually decided I must just be covering up for being terrible. So I asked "would you like me to go assassin?" they said "no **** you" after a while I got a bit perturbed and the next match went assassin, got MVP with around $500-$1000 more than the second place person on my team and ragequit after winning. It's nowhere near as fun raping people as it is having a challenging experience. I sumo or all melee sin(which works way too well so I stopped) because I like to occasionally not top the boards. And people get upset. I actually ENJOY not topping the boards. Why must people hamper my fun? I don't understand it. What makes it worse is that not a single one, even during the debate about the validity of sumo gunners did ANYBODY ask me to stop. On the plus side I can now join 3 star servers after a full rotation of .25 k/d and next to no botkills.
There are already very few people playing this game, it only makes sense that the few people who remain actually want to play the game correctly. Maybe if it wasn't so god damn hard to find as server people would partake but you can't blame them for being super tryhard mode.
