i dont know how to update, so i cant play the game?? STEAM

i bought the game on steam today, and there has been an update for the game. How do i update it?

i have looked on steam and cannot find anything that would update it. i also checked my account on this website and says i havent bought it, i would imagine this is because i bought the game on steam and not the website.

please help, i cant make any games and play because of the update, and i cant figure out how to update.

Because of how Steam sends updates to their network, it can take a while for patches to automatically propagate to people. The way to force it is either exit out of Steam and relaunch, or to run a file integrity check. Either one will force Steam to check the main servers for a diff between what you have and what's "official" and patch.
