I assume the steam servers and the Uber servers are separate.

Is that correct? I have noticed that there are a number of ways to purchase the game. Are there any plans to integrate the servers for online play.

I have some friends that have the game on steam. I purchased it from uber as an early adopter. I guess I can get a steam key through tech support to play with and against my friends.

Nope, they're the same. You can use the Uber launcher if you bought through Steam as well.

Yeah, this is correct. Where you buy/play PA from doesn't matter, all players can see each other.

Uber has said that they make more money if you buy direct from them. But do they still make more if you then ask for a Steam key?

Steam takes a percentage off of each sale. A sale directly from Uber negates that. For good customer service sake they change that. Im not sure how steam keys and direct purchase from Uber are handled but the part about the percentage off I'm pretty sure :p
