I hear it actually is kind of addicting, although a pain in the *** sometimes like most games are.

Overall, whoever said they would play both MNC and Brink, probably had the right idea imo. Too much Brink sounds like it would suck. Same with MNC for most people.

Not saying I played Brink personally, nor will I get brink or stop playing MNC. I don't get the same problems others do with games, as long as it is good it stays fine with me, no boredom issues.

Brink is a good game with some serious design oversights, ill give a quick run down of what I like and do not like.

    Pros:
    Gameplay is fun and engaging
    Customization like whoa
    Map design is solid

    Cons:
Blurry low res graphics at times (looking down sights)
No in game lobby system, forced to use dashboard party interface in order to play with friends. One friend joins a game, and invites friends to that game, hope it doesn't fill with pubbies before your friends get in.
Lag but its launch day so whatever.
    8 maps.

That being said, I'm enjoying the title and am feeling no buyers remorse. The cons for the most part can be fixed with a few patches, but for the time being you can have lots of fun if you can get over the really dumb design flaws.

Yeah last night when I played online I played 10+ matches and only lagged in 1 of them. It seems the lag varies from person to person because some of my friends were lagging in matches I wasn't and vice versa.

Oi, DeadStretch, could you actually do your moderating job properly and lock threads that have absolutely nothing to do with this game whatsoever. In fact, this topic shouldn't even BE in this section of the forums.

I've noticed this happening a lot in the past few weeks and you haven't done bugger all about it. So seriously, could you please just lock/remove threads that have nothing to do with this part of the forum?

You're a moderator, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Oh right, my mistake. I guess you can say that's the flaw of sorting by "View new posts."

Next time please just send me a PM instead of going off-topic just to tell me so. :D

Your Zalgo censorship disappoints me. Don't make me force Zalgo to use his 7th mouth.

Thumbs down for me, any game with that little of gameplay content in comparison with "customization" content and trying to pass it off as a full price retail game will always go down the APB route.

I hope I don't have to tell you about APB.

Guess you never played Quake Wars?
This game is basically Quake Wars in a new setting with customization. About the same amount of content as Quake Wars had (and guess who made Quake Wars...). It's all about the multiplayer. It's special niche of shooter that you either love or hate. It is not Team Fortress 3.

APB had completely different problems. It was completely unbalanced and had loads of griefers and cheater. They didn't fix things in beta and didn't have the money to build up a community after getting bad reviews about the balance, the griefers and the cheaters. Those reviews made people wait to see what would happen instead of buying the game and therefor no income therefor collapse. APB is currently being rejigged as a free to play with microtransactions. APB had plenty of gameplay content at release and in the pipeline.

NOT worth $60. I'm assuming it's a decent game but I haven't been able to play a non-laggy online match.

Modern Warfare 2 lagged for five hours. Day three of Brink and nothing has happened.

Can it be? Another Quake Wars fan? :D

I can put it to you bluntly, it is exactly like QW. What's different is the maps are smaller, it's a whole new setting and there aren't vehicles. The classes are basically the same just with a huge amount of customization.

As for the lag you can always bring it down to 5v5 matches instead of 8v8. Personally I barley get any lag with standard setting but if I start get to spikes I just switch to 5v5 and the lag is gone.
