I'm not seeing the obvious option for starting the game to play against AI. Single player is disabled for me; creatnig a new game keeps saying "PLAYER SLOT". How can I start a game with AI?
Custom Game = Setup your system with custom one or generate one = Join an army before someone joins your game and Ready UP! should start loading into a game with just you and an AI if its still an empty slot.
This isn't the case anymore - I publish my game, join a slot, hit ready - the game doesn't load and only says "game will start when all players select a slot and click Ready", and other people join...
you need to hit the start button. There should be a stickied thread basically saying "To Play against an AI, just ready up and hit play"
It doesn't work as smoothly anymore, especially if your trying to load a large system. If you do try to load a large system, it goes through a long process before loading that takes ages, so the slots don't fill up with A.I. straight away which means your likely to get someone else join you, making you start another game most likely.
PS the search really doesn't work well - I totally understand the re-post, I was about to it before I randomly saw this.
After I ready up I don't see a play button? I spent an hour trying to play a game on Sunday because another human would join then the game would have any number of issues, including immediate death on spawn. Last Friday it seemed that the multiplayer joining was having issues so I always got to play with AI and the games were MUCH more stable, in fact I don't think I had any issues other than graphical glitches which are well reported.
let's Hope that we get a GUI so we can select AI in the near future, I much prefer being able to physically select that I want to use AI in a slot.
