Currently there is not, if time allows and no players better than my self create one I will. Currently I'm ranked number one on the ladder but thats because at least seven players who are better are inactive. Also I catch flack from half the people better than me when creating guides but I shouldn't let this affect me since my guides will easily get you to top 200 in the world when this goes live. When properly executed of course.
I think he means more like a simple tutorial. Like "right click to select commander, now build econ. Metal and Energy are the foundations of your army -- to build units and structures to defeat the enemy, you need a sturdy economy. Select Metal Extractor and build it on the metal point. Metal extractors can only be built on metal points. Power generators can be built anywhere..." That sort of thing. If I had a mic and decent recording software (does anyone know of freeware recording software that doesn't have a recording limit like Bandicam and Fraps do?) I might make a "I have played no RTS's in the franchise before, halp" video sometime... Edit: or maybe a step up being "Bots are faster but weaker than vehicles. Build bots for harassment and flanking, and build vehicles for front-line assualts" or "With the fabrication vehicle/bot/aircraft, you are now ready to advance to the advanced tier of units. Advanced units are generally stronger and more specialized than basic units, but cost more metal and energy to build. You can build advanced units at the advanced factory -- select your fabricator and right click to build an advanced factory". You know, that kind of stuff...
Right now its the wild west as each new beta update changes the game and makes the guide irrelevant. Things are coco and playing a few games as well as watching videos are the way to go. Experiment and have fun
