How many of you actually acknowledge Long-Shot turrets...

    when an opponent puts them up. I honestly think these things need more uses because hardly ever do I see them as too much of an issue when an opponent puts them up. I hardly ever tell my teammates to take them out like I would a Rocket. Does anyone really see them as too much of a threat?

    If you set up your firebase in an open area or you stick by an open turret (center node on Spunky for example) they will keep a support healing them until either is destroyed. Hacked 3.3 are the only ones I ever notice, though

    in the competitive games that I have played, I have found that all turrets are useless.

    a 3.3 rocket/ice/longshot are very useful in pubs, but I have yet to play in a private where a team was able to get any turret at level 3. They are destroyed too quickly.

    So far only use I've found is to make turtle-teams pissed off on Spunky.

    My problem is that longshots are only effective on Jackbots and if a bot group is stopped.

    I just wish that I knew which nubs on which maps make longshots more effective or not effective at all.

    I know that on Spunky placing a lonshot at the back in front of the bot spawn will make it useful on the annihilator area and backwards.

    I'd like to see exactly how long a hack lasts for support and the range it has when hacked. Just have a small floating number above a hacked turret maybe.

    see the .X when hacked (x is the number) have a look at it...it drains, that's the timer on the hack, the range thing has been discussed and most of us think its a great idea go look for that thread if you want

    In a competitive game, turrets are almost useless. People take them out too easily, the only true way to stop the bots is to kill them before they reach your base.

    I use them on spunky and AM when there are camping snipers on the enemy team. Mid front nub on spunky will hit the enemy ejector, level 2 about half way back. Level 2 on AM inside front will target the enemy bridges at level 2. I think of them as a temporary, disposable distraction for snipers...

    Imo if they stay the same health they should add a sneeze gaurd onto them.

    Once 3.3 longshot hits you in a middle of a long firefight for 2/3 of your health, you'll notice it.

    They do their part against snipers, ruin my freezetraps and rip away my health, but honestly, sniper's a good job, outdoors...

    I think that Longshots should auto home on Snipers personally... could solve so much :D

    Longshots die way to easily to be worth the money. Sure 3.3 are annoying as hell but once you know one is shooting its dead very soon after.
