As I understood it you were expecting to begin in-house testing around this time. I am wondering what kinds of problems you have found and what kinds of adjustments you have been finding necessary.

I think you have to wait at least until the stream at the 19th to get your answer if you get one at all...

This. You'll be able to make your own judgement in two days. :)

I am so pumped. This is absurd. The anticipation is ruining my day. Anyone have something that can put me in a coma for just under 2 days? That way I won't have to be thinking about this non-stop while at work, I can just skip work instead because they won't want me there if I am comatose. Clients generally disapprove of their reps drooling and being completely unresponsive.

Just don't pull a Cartman and try and freeze yourself for two days.

why not? Cartman proved that freezing yourself actually works.

God, I lost that excitement for video games ages ago. Can you bottle that up for me?

I haven't been excited for a game since SupCom2 (damn, that was a disappointment), but PA really makes me feel with tugimus.

At least my work keeps my mind occupied enough, so I don't have to think about PA 24/7 xD

I feel this way as well. Me and my group of friends were so incredibly pumped for Supcom2. Release day kinda sucked hard due to the day 1 patch though. I preordered through gamestop so I had the disk but couldn't play until the next day because my internet was rather poor at the time.

We did play quite a bit of it though, I'm just not inspired to play it like I am with forged alliance. I hope PA will deliver that same joy that I anticipated with supcom2.

If i would know how that works i would bottle it up and sell it to Electronic... (you can think the rest :p) so they can first give people that nice new softdrink and drive the anticipation extremly high to make $$$.

    I would be a Billionaire!

And honestly, why we are all excited? Because we can play solarsystem poolbillard! I want asteroids, with lemons on them! Combustible lemons, and then i want to drive it in my enemy base to show him that when live gives you lemons, you put them on a god damn asteroid, make a combustible lemon kinetic weapon out of it and destroy his god damn planet!

Nearly snorted my tea when i read that :D

Supcom FA and Supcom 2 can get stuffed, my favorites by far where Total Annihilation and Warzone 2100...unfortunately Warzone was realeased around the same time as TA and got left by the wayside. Its a great strategy game though!

I am optimistic for PA though! And I truly hope it succeeds beyond our wildest imaginings...like the Uber team mentioned in the kick-started I think it was, that strategy games haven't evolved much since TA's time. The tech is now available to create an epic game and I feel optimistic that Uber can pull it off :)

The only reason why I bought Cosmic is to give them all the help they can get to make that happen....first time in my life spending that much on a computer game, hehe.

To be completely honest, I can't imagine this failing in every aspect of the game and being unsuccessful.

Even if all the interplanetary stuff ends up being too clunky and too non-competitive to ever be used in multiplayer gameplay it will still suffice for hours and hours of AI fun (Sorian rules at AI).

Even if we revert back to the smallest planets with 'standard' custom player maps becoming the only thing anyone wants to play it will STILL be the only RTS out there with an engine designed from the ground up to play on modern, multicore CPUs. No manditory unit limit per player is going to feel SO GOOD.

The second thing has already pretty much been confirmed to be working and a primary goal to optimize. That alone will make this game VASTLY superior to pretty much anything on the market (or rumored to be coming unto market).

Dammit, now you've got me thinking whether I could implement a "Warzone Factory" as a custom building, which lets you bolt a selection of weapons on a selection of bodies and build the resulting units. I played the <expletive> out of both games and utterly loved the modular design element to Warzone.

I am too old and too cynical to be getting this excited for a mere computer game. I hope you're happy Uber, reducing me to giddy teenager status when I am supposed to know better

I'll sign on as a developer for a WZ2100 mod. But lets not get ahead of ourselves.

[EDIT:] A friend of Knight's and mine also loves WZ2100. He doesn't post often on here, but I'll bet he'd be keen to help too.

I am absurdly pumped for the stream, even though i'll miss it because i'll be having an Algorithms exam. The last game that got me going like this was AC:B and for good reason, it was truly the peak of it's series.

I seriously want some free time to clear my hundreds-long backlog as well, though. Damn old consoles and their incredible games! :p

Bah, a friend has rescheduled poker night for tonight instead of next week, so now I need to work out if I can get twitch.tv working on my phone

Ok scrap that, just tried the android client and it's utterly useless for anything that isn't in their top 20 (there was literally no way I could search for PA, looks like "Search" is an iOS only option). Looks like I'm playing catchup once the stream gets put up on youtube
