How do you prove that you're not modding?

Played a few games with Lord Dake Kai earlier. Before rage quitting the match, he sent me a voice message, which said:

"Dude every time you get next to me, my slam gets deactivated. I'm visibly watching it on the screen. I don't understand why you gotta cheat to play this simple f***ing game. F*** you."

To which I responded that it may be lag causing him not to see his slam activate, because I always saw myself jumping over his slam. He responded with:

"Lag my ***. You's making my my bar disappear with that f***ing mod. I read it online before on that uh goddamn Assassin mod that prevents you from being uh ejected from the ring or slammed. That's bulls***."

Now I just got mad and told him that he probably isn't as good as he thinks he is and just can't beat me. To which he said:

"I ain't never gonna be good enough to beat you because you're f***ing cheating somehow and I know that you are. I been playing this game for a while and I'm really f***ing good at it and I know a cheat when I see it and s***. Turn your f***ing mods off and play right."

Now I actually had some respect for this guy because he's a good player. What exactly am I supposed to say in this situation? I'm annoyed that someone things I'm modding because of lag or something.

Don't listen to this guy. I got a message from him a while back (before the dashboard update) where he claimed I was modding. Of course this was before I took a month break from the game and was actually good, lol.

Oddly enough I was playing assassin then too. I guess any assassin that can trump his "assassin killer" is automatically a modder. :lol:

Its funny how in the world of gaming people cant accept defeat, a lot of people do get net issues and even minimal can screw you over.
But people resort to saying that modding is the reason for loss, or lag switches, or any excuse that comes to mind out of anger. Next time someone says your modding just let it slide off because its easy to fuel that flame.
I was in a game with Bolt and someone on my team said that he was modding for sure, i simply tried to say he was a good player and respected in the UBER community, however that still wasnt enough to convince ol boy.

Modders make a bad name for good players, but when you know you got real skills these things sholdnt dent you. Lord probably is a very good player and was having a bad day, its all good im sure next time tho you guys meet up its going down haha.

been accused of hacking when i was playing with a friend who did BETTER then me and i get called a hacker and he gets called a beastly player because they couldn't kill him! i don't get people.....fun to run the hax titles after being accused of hacking though

But...there's no way you could have killed him, I mean, he's the best MNC player on the planet and nobody could possibly be better, or have a better connection, etc. J/K

Basically, like the earlier post said, people just can't accept defeat. It is infinitely more acceptable and believable that you are cheating than facing the fact that they might be lagging, have a bad connection, whatever...which obviously is FAR more likely.

I had a game shortly after MNC came out where a guy on my team (forget his name), cried "hacker, oh my GOD what a hacker!" almost every time he died. I even told him that I saw him die and there was nothing wrong with it, yet he continued to the point that I finally muted him.

Hackers are too rare. Lag switch abusers, on the other hand...OMFG I hate them :|

my internet is a natural lag switch...its just that horrible...

Just go to avoid him with Too Good (I do this for all the god-complex people) and then block communications.

Ran into this guy. He was on my team, hoping he's an enemy next round.. GOOD he is! Wish me luck in getting mod messages!

I didn't get a message, but as he was leaving he says "I'm F-ing outta here, you all suck" after he loses. Well, he did pretty well but his team sucked it up for him

I hate that you have to lower your standard of play and lose a few times to stop other gamers from hating you, shouting abuse at you and messaging you.

When I first got gold membership 2 years ago, gamers respected one a another and spoke to each other like human beings, WHERE DID IT ALL GO WRONG????

I've been accused of modding a couple times, which is utterly ridiculous because I'm fair to middling at this game and there's NO WAY I should ever get accused of modding. Unless there's some "blind yourself and charge off the map" mod, then I could be accused of using that one.
