Lennard made a tracking system that is better and can be customized to Uber's needs.

    ^^^ This. :)

The alpha forum already exists, but you must already be in the alpha to access it.

Surely that tracking system isn't the forum. Stuff will get lost in the noise there.

Why not? Perhaps Mods have the option to report Topics or single posts to their tracking tool? Combining this with links to their forum where a live discussion goes on seems pretty intelligent.

Lennard made a very good bug tracking system based on an open source bug tracking software. It has all the bells and whistles Uber needs and probably some more.

The forum is used for stuff like questions and discussions that are specific to the alpha but not bugs. And for the testers who have not read the sticky notes. Nobody ever read the stickies!!!

Yep. It's easy way to kill offtopic thread: just stick it!
