Just wondering how do i exactly patch the game? I downloaded the game just yesterday so im a total noob at this
Each time the game is started, it will check for updates necessary. These will then download and install before you play.

I believe the ubernet launcher control game updates. Anyway, best way is to click verify files on the thing that first loads the game. It should do it itself but you can remind it. Also might be able to update by verifying files on steam, although best to try launcher verify first. Look at the mod section, the same way you "uninstall" a mod is how you update, because it basically downloads all files that aren't the ones you are supposed to have.
