How am I supposed to interpret the economy numbers and colors?

What do the colors represent? I'm assuming that red is bad, and yellow isn't good either. Green is most likely good and perhaps blue is as well?

I want to read this as AI: Thor having a 110 metal income rate with a 0 metal demand rate which apparently is "good", however I feel this is wrong because Thor is obviously doing building and pulling 0 metal is pretty much never good. I read that Thor also has a 7.40K energy income rate with a 0.88K energy demand and that this is "bad." This leaves Thor with an efficiency of 89% which is not optimal.

I read AI: Pharaoh as having a 41 metal income rate and is not spending any metal, once again "good." Pharaoh has 5.00K energy income and has somehow achieved a -0.03 energy demand, he's getting FREE energy! This obviously lends him a 100% economy efficiency, though I dare say he's going past 100%.

Is the second number the net gain of each resource rather than it's draw?

Edit: I get that the Player guide isn't complete at all, but I do hope somebody is working on it somewhere and that this economy stuff is explained very extensively.

Thor has an income of 110. It is not wasting or stalling (thus 0), which is also why it is green.
Red means the AI is stalling on energy.
    Blue means "is wasting".

It probably should have tooltips and be explained in the player guide.

So the second number is indeed a net demand rather than a gross demand. Also, then what is yellow and why is it not for wasting as that's still a bad thing?

I would guess it tries to be consistent with the default economy UI, isn't that blue on wasting as well?
Yellow on the efficiency just means "somewhere between perfect build speed and horrible build speed", maybe it also has something to do with radar on/off in case of energy, dunno.
