Hover Crafts mixed with other units or in its own factory ?

    Well as the title says, should we put hover crafts into the standard factory with other ground non-hovercraft units or should there be a pure hovercraft factory ?

    and an other thing i have played with many TA mod units a few of my favorite are the core MUG a level 1 the Can and the Macro FLea a bigger six legged kbot with a nasty laser .... but anyway i also played with a mod that had an Advanced Hovercraft factory and another had a Heavy Hoverplatform (not so sure about the last one...

    Well here is what im saying an Hoverplatform and an Advanced Hoverplatform that should be enough for PA ...


    Side Threader:: how about making a collection of hovercraft ideas in this thread ...I'll start ..

    BATTLE BEE
    Artillery hovercraft
    Core hover with a large artillery piece on its back

    Advanced Artillery Hover Craft
    Carrying a large artillery piece on its chaccis shooting at defenses from the shores

    Advanced MLRS Hover Craft
    A larger hovercraft carrying a large Missile Systems with small Nanolaters wich create new missiles


    Twin Gun Hover Craft
    A hovercraft whit two small/medium guns firing at a medium/fast speed

    Some important points that we don't know yet:
    Will there be hovercraft in PA?
    Will kbots/robots be able to go where hovercraft can't?
    Will PA have a large enough unit set that it is meaningful to separate units into several factories?
    Will there be enough unit roles that hovers could have their own set of units?

    I would like the answer to be yes to all of theese questions.

    I'd also ask "Will hover craft feel like their own unique thing in the game?"

    If they feel as unique as naval or air units then sure give them their own factories. But if they are just another flavor of tank then it's not really worth it.

    well if their going for spiritual sucsserror to TOTAL ANNIHILATION they will have a score of hovercraft be it anti air, cannon hover unit, laser hoverunit and so on and of course the hover transport wich did a good job in Core Contingency .....

    Edit:: when hovercraft are combined with destroyer ships they can be combined with anti- air hovers or hover scouts to search for targets..

    when using hovers with ships you can also use hovers to flank a ship force and us the hovers for sight targeting, I also vote for a unit wich can fire a dolt or arrow on a unit or paint a target for the supporting destroyers so you can paint a target with one of a group of hovrcarfts and have destroyers/cruisers shoot at that painted target....

    If they are gonna do it like they did in Total Annihilation they will release Planetary Annihilation without hovers and add them in an expansion. :p

    they already said they wont release expansion ( in doubt )
    they would release free patches for the game updating the game ..


    sorry but i'f gotta go eat
    so i can't continu this for atleast a 40 minutes

    Edit:: and i' ll make it a personnel mission to put in a recent amount of hovercrafts and amphipibouhs units I'll hound the developrs in the forums there should be more then the token amphibous token KBOT AND VEHICLE

    they should take peeps at TA units /unitmods take a loook at TA ZERO its new but very playable and one of my fovorite TA mods

    If they add hovers and other special move units (climbing units, jump packs, short range teleportation) they could add all those special movement land units to one factory and all the normal land units to another factory. (Those special units would offcourse have to be either weaker then the normal units or more expensive, to compensate for their special movement ability).

    But to have one factory just for hover units sounds overly complicated.
