Host sniper is way to OP

I honestly feel bad when I haven't even set an ice trap and I'm already 10-0.

Gunner-dies instantly
Tank-no chance
other snipers- I have host, you lose
assaults-the only class that can give me some trouble but then again I just harass them with body shots and flak 3 until they run away.
assassins- good luck pushing bots when I have explosive shots. There is no chance of you getting next me either with my ice traps, flak, mini uzi, host quickscopes, and stronger grapple.

A good host sniper(like me) shuts the game down IMO(unless you are playing like 3 good assaults).

You're a garbage sniper.

Host Tank is scarier.

Its not the fact that your host, its the fact that your probably playing against new or bad people. Host only helps your shots hit when they should, and you wont get a non registered hit.. its not like your hits do more damage or anything, odds are if you were to play against a good sniper when your host, you never would have made this post.

I got host once. It was INCREDIBLY easy to get headshots compared to my usual 150-200 ping.

Host tank is way scarier than host sniper. When someone gets host tank and charge three, their charge will stop almost anything. Instead of just canceling another tank charge, I have actually had instances where my charge actually knocked them back even though they were in the middle of charge three. Assaults don't stand a chance against a good host tank. The jet gun, when used properly, is a powerful weapon.

Host sniper is pretty good though. To me, it kind of seems like the "target" of the head gets bigger. I have had instances off-host where I should have gotten a headshot, but I shot their ear and it either didn't register or counted as a body shot. With host, I have had a few experiences where I just had to aim near their head and it would count. It seems weird, maybe there was some lag or something IDK, but host sniper is definitely OP. Off-host your aim better be perfect or it won't count.

It's mainly the railgun and the jetgun that makes the tank better on host. Everything registers.

I recall you picking tank against me, then getting instantly headshotted. You promptly switched to assault.


I always play against pubstars by myself( I pull host) and unless its a 5 man GP party I wreck house. Its not that it makes the sniper "better" it just makes the sniper how it should be. It's honestly like

1.get host
2.tap LT
3.press RT
4.ding

Don't feel to good about making hawkshade switch to assault he always does that when he is failing with his garbage tank.

I may or may not be including myself by saying that.

I've had host only twice in MNC and never liked it. I play sniper a lot and everything just moved funny to me while on host. As assault it was even weirder.

I've also been playing on a bigger TV lately and the movement is really screwing with me. Before I was playing on a 17" or maybe 19" HDTV and now I'm playing on a 32" HDTV and the difference is very noticable.

The assault seemed to drag his steps a bit on the 17", but seems a lot more nimble on the 32". I have more trouble focusing my shots as sniper on the 32". I've been wondering if I'm just getting worse at MNC or if anyone else experiences this when switching between TV sizes, resolutions, etc... Any input?

I don't know who is more skilled; I've never played with Risk. But I have played with Hawkshade many times in privates and can vounch that he's probably the best tank I've gotten to play against, though Zatch could give him a run for his money.

Look at the "Who is best" thread. A LOT of people are mentioning Hawkshade. Kinda funny how the people who say he isn't any good are also the people who don't like him personally.

Forum opinions about who is best/better/trash don't tend to have much to do with reality, so stop caring, as I have now learned to do. The best snipers/tanks/assassins I have played against have never been mentioned on this forum that I can recall.

On topic, while playing against a host tank/sniper/etc. can be annoying, I don't find that it often alters the game enough to really be "OP". Besides, there isn't a whole lot they can do about varying lag factors. Host has been a problem in just about any online game I've played that didn't have dedicated servers.

No problem, I'm back and more law-abiding then ever before!

@Z bear, thats because the best ppl you have played with in publics doesnt matter, but i suppose u have missed that point being stressed a hundred times looking around these forums too.

and if you include these unknown superstars in your own little privates that dont include the people mentioned as the better players in this game, it really doesnt matter. the "better" players in this community have proven it by doing well over and over against all comers, that is the "reality" of their status.

while your concerned with reality, take a trip to manhattan and scout NBA talent by who is doing good in the pickups at the park
