Is it me or as host migration not been fully fixed, 5/10 times the game kicks me back to the main menu when the host quits, alot better then it used to be. But still a little annoying but not a big deal. What this rant is about, is when the host lags and the game holds me in the kill cam and spawns me and doesn't let me move off the base, I speed tested my broadband to make sure it wasn't me and its fine. I really enjoy MNC when it works, think its the best multi-player arcade games I have played all year but when you and your team loses due to lag and not the opposing team being better, then in my opinion it spoils game, and its not like you can quit and rejoin a different lobby.
Host Migrations fail because the person the game try to migrate towards quits. This is a peer to peer game so if the host has a crappy connection the whole room will lag. Actually you can.
I think Uber just needs to set a penalty for quitters and it should be harsh. Like if you quit the first time, it deducts $10,000 dollars from you with $10,000 decrease everytime after The third time you drop down a level and lose a random highlight. ($30,000) The fourth time, you lose a custom class, drop down 5 levels and are banned from playing for a day. ($40,000) I could care less that host migration doesnt work 100% of the time because unlike Gears of Shotguns, it doesnt take a decade to find a match. im just sick of all of the people who ragequit when you ring them out.
most inexperienced players aren't going to stay in games with 3+ 99s on one team or in a party. they shouldn't be penalized for that either...nobody is going to want to play the game if they walk out of spawn and die by 2 juicers trying to farm kills. why would you bother staying in a game that you know you have .2% of winning? this game needs playlists and private match options..uber has ignored threads suggesting them so i doubt we'll see anything like that anytime soon
A bit harsh? I don't think you should lose anything you earned. 15 minute penalty for quitting in the middle of a game you started in. 'Nuff said.
i have notifications turned off so i usually dont see invites. i get bored real fast with parties of 3+ and finishing games in ~5 minutes. the game is a lot more fun when teams are balanced.
Actually they haven't ignored anythng. Sure maybe they didn't respond in the thread but if you go back at watch the Jtv broadcast video they acknowledged it and said they were thinking about it, and that was launch month.
uh, no, this game is neither my job nor something I'm very attached to to let very harsh penalties ,from a game mind you, ruin my fun because i quit for whatever reason i wanted. Yes, whatever reason i wanted, be it lag, inexperience, bad team, have to go somewhere, or maybe i just feel like quitting for the hell of it.
im talking about threads, not jtv broadcasts..i've read about 5-6 of them. if we dont see them in this update i would be surprised if they implented them later so far away from launch
The multiple playlists is such a great idea. When the teams are roughly even, this is such a fun game and I enjoy it even when I lose. But when I'm getting steamrolled by a team of 99's, there's no way I'm going to stay, and no point. Now mind you, I played a game with Im Hudson and a bunch of other awesome guys a few nights ago and got tromped upon, but it was a private match, not a pub, and I expected it. And besides, they tromped upon me politely. But it would be so much better if they would create a separate queue for teams so they could play against one another instead of stealing all of the joy out of the game for people who mostly play pubs alone (or in my case, with my awesome wife).
In the private matches, we try to randomize the teams in the best possible way, but pubs....I've got nothing for you.
