Host migration disables xbox live private chat

I've noticed that when I'm in private chat with a friend, it will silence my headset when a host migration starts (cant talk OR hear). It doesn't end the chat or force me out, it just doesn't work until the migration ends.

NOTE** I don't know if the same happens with party chat as I never use that.
