I was looking over the Bug forums, when I saw this in the latest patch thread

Time to start up the rummer mill! What do you all think this means... maybe a last resort way of winning the game, or... dare I say it? Galactic War? What are your guy's thoughts on the matter?

Ermm... I take it to mean they're taking some time off for xmas then coming back in January to keep making the game. People really need to stop reading way too far into things, it causes drama and disappointment un-necessarily.

This is not your serious or?:D:D:D:D:D

They are working hard on the game and some people don't understand how it is to make a game.

I was tired and being hyperbolic. No, there's no plans to actually blow up solar systems, but.. if there are no planets left in one, it's effectively the same thing. You people! :)

Isn't that the ultimate goal anyway? To start with a fully normal system and end with vaporized ruins? Sounds like some solid solar system smashing to me.

Galactic warfare is going to be tough when the same map can't be played twice.

Induced gamma ray burst/ red giantism? Nova bombs? If there's a game which would appropriately have a doomsday draw weapon, it would be PA. :p

I was joking, like how when someone says "Half Life 3 is confirmed" because someone at Valve coughed three times in a row. I am eager for Galactic War, but I will wait until the fine people at Uber are sure it meets their usual standards of awesome.
