Windows 7 i7-2600K Intel CPU 8 Gig memory Nvidia GTX 750 video card w/ 2 Gig memory No mods installed When I just start the Uber Launcher (no login) one of my CPU cores always runs at 100%. After a short period, the load may shift to a different core. Via Resource Monitor, total CPU usage is 12% across all cores. When I start PA, either directly or through the launcher (no login), total CPU usage across all cores runs 30 % or higher just on the opening screen. Is this CPU usage typical? It seems pretty high when nothing is going on.
Yeah, the main menu likes to do that. There's a mod called "Lightweight Menus" that turns off the background animations, which helps reduce the CPU load quite a bit.
