Yipes, I hope your phone savored the beer as well! But yah, there's usually a sticker on the inside that detects moisture so if it's been exposed to water, the technicians will find out.
What type of phone is it? Most smart phones can be rescued by opening them up and cleaning with alcohol (not your preference of alcohol of course) I have done this several times for friends etc. look
Most of the time no. This is not a technical failure but a user caused failure. Altrough Wiko is a "discount" brand that i start to hear about recently, they maybe have a lot of failure and you could take advandage of this. But you can maybe save the phone if the accident is recent : - take out the battery - put the phone in a bag of rice to get off all humidity (don't be cheap on the rice, must be a lot all around the phone) - put the battery also in some rice - after a few days (1-2), clean the phone carefully (inside, outside, especially all the little connectors like battery and sim pins), so there is nothing sticky or corroded looking Then try to use your phone (with and without battery). Hope it helps !
thanks guys! I'd kinda forgotten about this thread and now all of the sudden tons of answers !! I'm gonna try bluequail on reddit's idea. thanks @clopse too I'm not so sure about the alcohol thing at least I don't know where to get my hands on 100% alcohol so all I have is fruit alcohol which is some 90° and still is sticky. yes it's a smartphone.
Yeah your story checks out. 99% is not available but leclerc and intermarche have an alternative that works fine.
allright. I'll get some. I'm always looking for something to clean out my electronics with anyways, thanks!
