Did you add them to the icon_atlas.js? Edit: It's also worth noting that you need to use a client mod for strat icons.
In that case, it should work. I am going to take a guess and say you made a typo in a name somewhere.
if that were true, then I should have spelled at least 1 of the 5 names correctly when I copied and pasted them...
My guess: forgot to add icon_si_ in front of .png names / put them in wrong folder like \ui\main\atlas\icon_atlas\img\strategic_icon or \ui\main\atlas\img\strategic_icons instead of \ui\main\atlas\icon_atlas\img\strategic_icons.
nope to the wrong folders, because the units that were already there, but we altered all work. and icon_si_ is in front of all of them. ALSO: the icons show up as a preview when you select the unit in the build bar, just not in the actual game.
Ok, I figured it out. Whatever it is, it's uber's fault, because it works perfectly in the PTE, no file changes on my end...
You guys are talking about having a separate client mod + server mod correct? Eg. "blah blah_server" in the server-mods folder and "blah blah_client" in the "mods" folder? Edit: If this is so, would be nice to be able to combine them into one mod so people don't have to hunt down "pairs" of mods, no?
At the moment you need a client and server mod for icons, because icons are loaded in the engine rather than with the server. But that may have changed, seeing as his icons showed up in PTE, if so then that'd be... magnificent.
That is interessting. Maybe you could share your mod so somebody with more knowledge about the past issues could check it out and maybe figure out why the PTE behaves differently?
