I don't think there's a specific style per map... just read the guide on how to deal with tanks and stuff as an assault. I'm not sure there could really be a guide for something like this. The best advice is probably to just keep playing. Experience is probably the best tool there is to learning something.
Like Tom said. I use gold or silver Rate of Fire endorsement and spam grenades from my "hallway" across mid bridge and into their "hallway." When their hallway is clear, I push up to their side of mid bridge and shoot down on people from high ground with the assault rifle. If they start coming down their hallway again, I backpedal across mid bridge to my hallway for cover while spamming grenades into their hallway. Throw a bomb on mid bridge if they keep pushing out and finish them off with the assault rifle from behind cover in your hallway. If you get really hurt, dash back to your spawn ring and spam grenades into your hallway to prevent them from chasing you. This is my own play style, but I have learned a tremendous amount about playing assault by watching XENONOX's gameplay videos. Highly recommended... http://www.youtube.com/user/xenorich
When playing assault, I kind of play spunky as if I was a super pissed off mega hornet. Meaning fly around (mostly above), shoot at threatening pros and be the biggest nuisance possible.
