Help Please;Disconnecting

Okay im just looking for some help here, Every time i join to a sever no matter what kind;(Single Player is fine), Multiplayer wise. I disconnected from it within about 2mins but.. If i join off a friend in steam i dont at all. So i cant connect by myself but if a friend is on i can join off him i don't understand no other Deciated Severs have done this before if anyone can help me out i would greatly appricate it.
