[HELP] Just paid 83EU on steam, but cannot play

Hi Guys,

I need some help over here,

I just bought this game on steam but I cannot play and REALLY want to.

When I launch the game I have only 2 options

Quick game Europe
Quick game United states

Both of them doesn't seem to bring me anywhere.

I this because of problems with the uberent game service, I cannot reach the uberent website as wel.

Any trick I can do in the console ?

What happens if you click either button?

It will start the matchmaking thing and I see looking for games. But after 30 min waiting I gave up.

It seems to me that the game cannot find any games.

It should drop you in a lobby and other people should be able to join it.

Ok, but that doesn't happen here.

i'll will try some restarts of my pc,modem,router.

EDIT: I just launched the game again before rebooting and now I have the ubernet game option available where I can see some matches.

alpha stuff I guess

Try to contact Uber Support... maybe that will give you faster results than posting in the forum... I think it is support@uberent.com... If not you can go to the webpage and click the help button and fill out a form... good luck.

Well, for starters you might want to try "UberNet Games". It will put you into a game with 3 aI commanders standing in a small base with some defenses. If that doesn't work either I would assume that you can't connect to the PA server.

PS: Just checked, I was in a match in the US in like 5 seconds. Looks like a connection problem.

Thanks everybody for the fast replies. Everything is working now. Not sure what it was.

Just 1 final question: is it normal that there aren't any textures or water in the game at this point. The game look to me as a world with nothing on it except my commander and buildings.

I already posted in Alpha forums... someone else posted about this in Steam forums...

I think they should do something about it. Personally I prefer the first option(which seems to be greyed out for Steam users) where it shows the open games and you can join if you see a 3/4 or 1/4 or something like that.

Edit: Okay if he got it fixed... maybe really it was a connection problem?

I think so, the uberent website I still not working for me. Maybe some overload maybe because it was recently released on steam.

But im ok with problems it is alpha, reminds me of SimCity but that was Retail

Our sites, hosted by us, are working fine. Unfortunately, our Blog site (such as /pa), we're in the process of trying to get moved soon, as the host it's on is clearly incapable of keeping it up and running. Sigh.

I joined a match recently and its working now, what I did when I had the problem: I created a custom game and launched right away. When it was working I joined somebody else his game.

I really like this game and the way uber is doing it without greedy publishers, I saw a lot of complaints on the steam forums indeed those guys don't understand alpha's.

PS: If my English is sometimes a little weird its because im not natively English but Dutch.
