Come on guys, let's not be mean.

Is this in America? Like the NA version of Comike?

I live in Japan but I've never been in one and probably never will since I hate being in crowded places. Just being around with 10-15 people makes me sick and dizzy. I can't imagine how awful will I feel if I'm with 30-50 thousand nerds in Comike.

    Ugh.

I'll assume that the deleted posts said everything that came to my mind when I clicked the link and that's why they were deleted.

I'll post them tomorrow morning for everyone who wanted to see em, I just have a pounding headache right now so I don't feel like getting them on the comp then uploading them to sendspace or w/e :?

Was going to post them even after what Grimbar said anyway

You sure this wasn't in Tampere, and wasn't yesterday?
Because this city was invaded by animes yesterday.

It's surprising how cosplaying an anime character is an excuse to dress as a Nazi. I saw 4 different girls dressed as slutty Nazi officers yesterday.

What's wrong with dressing up as Nazi? Prince Harry did it.

Finland was an ally of the Nazi Germany in WWII.

    So?
It's not like being a nazi nowadays is acceptable in certain countries. You can't just waltz around Berlin wearing a red swastika armband and saluting the Führer

They are dressing up as something they aren't, you should be familiar with that concept.

So pointing out factual similarities counts as "stupid", no wonder you threatened EmBox when he found out that you're different.

    lolwut, threatened EmBox?
He was actually surprisingly good about everything when I came out on FB.

And I know you pride yourself on being obnoxious and jerky on the forums, but there's a line.

Yeah, you crossed it when you tried to shame legitimate anime fans cosplaying as some of their favourite characters. Stop hating things that are different than you

It would be fine if it wasn't that the chosen character's were from a group pretty universally described as the most abhorrent group in recent history. It's not even about banning the aesthetic, there was a girl in a similar sort of black and red, "evilish" military style, but the insignias were different and clearly it was an original costume. You can have stuff inspired by a style, hell, the 40's german military style has been copied by thousands of things, but I think it's weird that this is the one situation that kids can just walk around the street dressed as Nazis. Were it any other situation it wouldn't be okay.
