Yknow, when the textures freak out and you get grey everywhere, where the only fix is to lower texture quality?
From my understanding, there is no way to "fix" that. Essentially what is happening is your running out of VRAM due to the massive amount of a virtual texture being displayed all at once. GPU optimizations can lower the required VRAM but if your having this issue, your video card doesn't have enough VRAM to handle your texture settings and there is nothing* that can be done to change that. *It might be possible to change texture formats or unload pieces of the higher res texture but this would reduce texture quality.
