Has PIP Area Commands been fixed?

I was going to try it in Gamma today but I haven't gotten around to it. When PIP was introduced I found I could send units to a PIP window but I couldn't give Area Patrol commands in a PIP window. I was originally using PIP to watch the enemy base and quickly send units there.

Just played to confirm I cannot give an area patrol command inside a PIP window.
