I knew I wasn't seeing things when I saw a guy with three rate of fire endorsements the other night.
He was shooting like a buzzsaw...taking players down in 1-2 seconds each with bursts from his assault rifle.

People who do this need to have their Xbox's smashed with sledgehammers and then get perma banned from Xbox Live.

Modding is great and all. Good things can come from it. This isnt one of those things.

Reminds me of Spring 2009 when there were all sorts of crazy games going on in Team Fortress 2 on 360. Low gravity, no-clip, Half Life 2 striders and G-men everywhere. Mostly silly stuff but it was excessive sometimes. A few of the guys who knew how to transfer stuff from PC to 360 were working on turning Dustbowl into a Payload map since it was clear by that time that the Payload gametype may never officially make it to consoles. Ironically there was a title update for the game on the day the improvised gametype was going to be public.

If you hate your life that much that you have to have an upper advantage in a game by modding, i have sympathy for you.

I tried to warn people that this was happening a while ago. Your kind residents here said I was a noob and didn't know what I was talking about. They tend to say that to anyone that isn't in the little uber click here.

knowing that modding begets great things sometimes, is a great thing. great things can come to those who allow people to play around with mods.

playing a competitive match with mods isnt one of those things...

if i played around with blitz, messing with perks and stuff, but not the leaderboard, to test ideas for balance or new game modes and endorsement levels and multiple endorsement balance... would you hate me for it?

but i saw someone with jackbot icon last night, ban teh fark outta em.

I heard that Uber is nicely telling the obviously modding peeps (Jackbot icon, etc.) to fix their profiles or face consequences...

I saw this aswell. I saw the 3 gold rate of fires when they killed me but thought it was
a glitch on Spunky Cola, it didn't cross my mind they were modded.
    Fixed
This. I'm sure it makes them feel good.

What is the point of modding to be at the top of leaderboards? I can't imagine cheating to get something feels nearly as good as earning it. But maybe it does feel good for these guys as they sit at home alone with nothing but their mods and two hands. I find hackers disgusting and obnoxious. The only time modding is even remotely okay is if you are screwing around by yourself or with close friends and you gain nothing from it. Example, modding Mass Effect to get new clothes. You gain nothing that will affect others and it doesn't drastically alter the game. Once someone's modding effects gameplay and other people, that's when I think it is seriously wrong. One friend of mine has given up on Toy Soldiers because of one hacker who has the top leaderboard score which is absolutely ridiculous. Hackers must be lonely and bored people.

90% of those people just put on low grav, gave themselves health regen/full cloak always and were just giant tools. If something like a payload map were to go out, I would have had a small amount of hope for the tf2 360.

Quoted for truth and the fact that I agree (all the while omitting that with which I don't), particularly with the underlined portion.

you wouldnt believe what it feels like to some of these sick freaks, to gouge out a persons eyeball and eat it while they watch with their remaining eye. being a sorry sack of poo that makes everyone else feel worse, makes them feel better than you would feel if you "earned" the leaderboard position.

We actively look at our leaderboards, remove the hackers and send them a message asking them to not do it again.

As for the multiple endorsement thing, that was fixed with the latest update.

I may be mistaken but I could have sworn I saw endorsement modding on Spunky.
I'll keep a look out & try to capture it if I see it again.

It may still display three gold endorsements, but the last two won't have an affect.

Little snub to the hackers. ;)

    That's fantastic!

But that means I was getting battered by someone with 1 endorsement
