can somebody explain how this works? because i think i may have stumbled across something last night that prevents it from kicking in. but i want to test it further before explaining.
IIRC, the Gunner and Assault have a definite RoF cap that they reach with the silver RoF endorsement that's just part of how the game is. I'm not expert on RoF though, as I prefer crit endorsements for Assault and Gunner over RoF
The rate of fire cap is only for gunner, due to his high volume of fire. Higher rates of fire cant be handled by the laggy situation, and the game can only handle x amount of bullets before it caps due to lag. it is ONLY on gunner, and ONLY in high-lag situations. there is no preset cap; the cap is that of what the game can handle, which is reduced by lag. that being said, on automatic weapons, the difference between gold/silver is very minimal.
so i tested this out some more the other night. i broke the thumb stick on my normal controler. so i have been using my controler with turbo. i would not think turbo would give you an advantage in this game as all the full auto weapons see no anti recoil benefit from turbo. and all semi auto weapons can't fire faster than gold rof allows. so before i made his post i was using my turbo controler and the button is placed right where my resting fingers sit. so sometimes i accidently turn it on. let me tell you it's a pain in the arse when playing support with h.h gun. lol anyways i was in game turbo swicthed on while i was gunner and it seems when holding left trigger and using the highest turbo setting the gunner avoids rof cap. this was not tested in a controlled private macth setting. so i can't say i'm 100% sure. but it does seem like it. note it only seemed to give an advantage during high lag.
