I was informed on the top upper half that I had enemy contact. Upon clicking the pip to look to see what I found I was taken infact; to a planet I had never set foot on before. The instant this happened the entire game went to grey screen. Now understand I mean everything but the player UI was gone; just a flat grey surface. I tried to fix it by reselecting my commander icon on the top, an enemy commander icon was also highlighted (note: I had not encountered any enemy forces beforehand ingame) this didn't fix the problem and I was forced to quit to desktop. Anyone else had this problem before?
me too, my solution is to enable the picture-in-picture screen in the left-under-corner and switching the screens. The former main screens stays grey, while the former small screen works fine.
Thanks; next time I encounter the problem I'll give that a try. But I'm pretty sure all the new picture in picture boxes I tried to use had become grey boxes as well. Edit: I'll include a screenshot nexttime
