I've been getting this issue since I bought the game last weekend with the free weekend deal. Simply put, explosions and some other effects will cause a large black shadow instead of the concussive wave that is intended. I've updated my graphics driver to the newest version and the problem persists. It's a small bug and I wouldn't really report it but it does sometimes block my entire field of view when I'm close to a blast or something similar. So I've included all the necessary files for your use and I've made a video to demonstrate the issue for anyone who needs to actually see it. I also have another computer which uses an nVidia graphics adapter which I'll be trying the game out on sooner or later to see if my ATI graphics adapter is the issue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UajBdU_IAdI PS!: My computer specifics are at the end of the video. Thanks boatloads for any help, and for making the game. I love it so far! <3
running a 5770 here and have not had an issue with it but i am also not going to update my drivers for fear of getting this exact bug
This problem seems to occur only when I have World Detail set above minimum. Not only that, but World Detail also affects my fps the most out of the settings (aside from resolution) which I am not sure if it acts the same with Nvidia cards.
Yeah, it's been a problem since release. I just treat those blinding clouds as a gameplay element now.
