Not really sure if this is a bug or just something to do with uber deoptimizing the graphics so macs can play ( ), but it seems as if the game stays in the graphics memory even when going back to the main menu. When first starting the game the GPU mem use is negligable on the menu, and obviously jumps when game is loaded (~100M -> 900M to 1.5G, depending on the planet, moon being the least). The mem *does* get released on game exit btw, so no big worries I guess Having never paid this much attention to my system before I actually have no idea if this memory persistance is normal or what. And, I don't feel like adding an unnecessary task to the tracker flood......... I think I need to bone up on my data structures as it were. :mrgreen:
