    Hello...

I bought the game on steam and loved it very much, but cant play anymore.
i got a problem that in the middle of the game my GPU crashes and the game freezes of black screen afterwards. (i got a tiny popup in the lower right side of the desktop that says the GPU crashed and its successfully recovered)

    my PC specs:
    processor core 2 duo E8400 3.00Ghz
    4GB ram
    GPU ATI radeon 4870 512mb

what can i do? the drivers a updated, and other games work just fine for me. if any game crashes i can still continue the game after the recover.
if anyone can help me il be very thankful.

I had a very similar issue on my Radeon HD 7850 until I deinstalled dexpot.
If you don't have that kind of multiple desktops tool then I dunno.

Unfortunately problems on AMD legacy drivers under Windows isn't fixable because it's driver bugs and AMD not going abandoned driver updates for 3XXX 4XXX long time ago. Though PA made of client and server so hopefully Uber will implement feature to reconnect to local game so even if client crashed due to driver failure you still able to connect to server and continue playing.

As @SXX mentioned, AMD no longer provide drivers for anything older than HD5XXX cards. As a result the 'up to date' driver is actually pretty old, hence it tends to crash. There is an option however!

There are newer drivers available for that card on Linux. So if you don't mind spending a bit of time, and have a chunk of HDD space free you can easily install one of the many Linux distributions side by side with windows (you'll get a choice on start up of your machine which to load) and run PA from there. I'd personally recommend 'xUbuntu' (a variant of the well known 'Ubuntu' operating system with a nicer* UI).

The other option is to look at updating your graphics card. You can get something much faster than a 4870 for not too much money... any current card from about £90 upwards really.

    *In my opinion anyway :p
