I'll be gone for the next 4-6 months hiking the Appalachian Trail, going south from Maine to Georgia. This year the trail is 2189.1 miles(3523km). I figured I have one last chance to do something big before I go full time into the workforce, and this is it. No way I'd get 4-6 months off of any real job for at least a decade.

I'm going to take the alone time to read some math textbooks and develop a few of my board game proof of concepts into something a bit more robust. And of course enjoy the nature.

I leave for Maine Sunday and start hiking Monday. I'm super duper pumped.

All I know of that is from the movie Wild (2014) and it seems like quite the undertaking...
Hope you are better prepared. :)
    Good luck!

I think she walked the west coast trail. I forget what it's called but I haven't seen the movie.

The AT is super wet and that looks like desert.

Watch Wolf Creek before you go.

Oh, you're right. That was the Pacific Crest Trail. Well, it sounds like you are prepared. :)
