General Discussion : MNC Need more competition

For starters, it always feels impossible to get involved in any competitive play in the MNC community or just online period. Kind of depressing when you have to make gimmick classes just to entertain one's self.

For the last week, I have played an assassin that uses nothing but the shuriken launcher and slap grapples. Have made it a point to get at least one kill per game with the assassin by roundhouse kicking someone in the face.

I have made a sniper class with Accuracy/RoF/Critical and refused to use my left trigger to zoom while spamming sniper rounds all over the place. I have also gotten more double-grapple-Melee!s than ever before.

I have also ran around as a support and done nothing but hurt-gun people, even refusing to juice while doing so.

I am just kind of bored of the standard public games, as it seems like if I have even one friend online, we're already kind of overpowered from all the masses of people in public crossfire games. I am seriously more than happy to take some new players under my wing and introduce them to general strategy and logic, and do whatever it takes to make them all better players, but it doesn't seem like any of them really care to be better. Kind of awkward. But seriously, if you need any game "tutoring" just let me know if there's a class you just aren't getting over the hump with. Or whatever. I just want to get on, and be like it was back in the "good ole days". Where I had to really put forth some effort.

No, it just feels like that's the atmosphere we're left with. I very much could care less if anybody wants help. I am very much just tired of dealing with public matches that have no quality to them, strictly becuase even making the most inefficient classes possible, it still doesn't offer any challenge.

At this point, I guess I just need to put all my faith into finding a good patch of private games that happen frequently, and avoid MNC when privates are not available.

Just doesn't feel like I can get any better when nobody forces me to elevate my game. And pub-stomping isn't doing any rookies any favors either. Would just kind of hope that everyone, not ME in particular, would maybe try and...not be in party chat while playing public games. Maybe try and share your intellect and knowledge with random people when you can. (If only those failures of MNC clones would have mics plugged in...)

Eh, my skill level is the best. I can squash most pubs and get steamrolled by any even halfway-competent opposition.

I feel that's about where I'm at despite the fact I've been playing it (though on and off) since release. Don't even get me started on how retarded I am with the assault. Still don't know how to play it.

But yeah, since I still have trouble with low level bot (and sometimes even non-bot) players, competitive play probably wouldn't suit me. And if I spent more then ten minutes trying to get better at a videogame - that is, sitting around practicing rather than just playing for fun - I'd probably have to shoot myself.

We'll get more competition when DLC comes out. So far, new players to this game might as well be playing with their eyes closed. And when you offer advice you get told to do things to your mother. :|

This is outstanding. This was a thread for in-game competition right? The forums seem to have an abundance of it.

Monday night should have a competitive game mode made specifically for 6v6 teams. I think it would make full lobby games run smoother and it could make team stompers have a chance to actually face other really good groups or clans. :lol:

If you want to have some fun, get a group of six together. Everyone plays with shrukens only. It is a ton of fun when you slap a tank three times in a row. Most teams ragequit out of fear when they see six assassins heading strait for their base.

anyone who wants to get involved with competitive privates just send me a friend request and dont appear offline. whenever i see a bunch of mnc ppl online who i know are interested i usually setup privates. it seems a bunch of people are bored of pubs so step 1 of making this happen is getting active in making it happen
