New art! More fixes! Smarter formations! New spectating options! We're in the process of tightening the Gamma experience across the board, and this week's huge update packs lots of incredible new additions and improvements. For instance! We've taken spectator mode to 11 by allowing spectators to focus on teams and see their resources in real-time. Formations now understand position -- flame tanks will now prefer the front, while smaller non-knockout units will prefer the back. Also, we've re-added the ability for players to load systems in the background. We've got lots more, too, so check out these notes: Spectating! - Added support for full summaries of teams playing. - You can also focus on individual teams. - Added a new panel on the side to facilitate this. Lobby! - Players will now receive even more information when joining and leaving. - Improvements to joining. - Improved planet generation while in lobby. Art! - Added a new skins for laser turret. System Editor! - Added new tag for starting planet. This is in preparation for multi-planet spawns! AI! - Added even more general improvements. Formations! - Units now have preferred positions. Bug Fixes - Planet smashing bug addressed. - A couple of lobby bugs have been squashed. - A number of memory leaks have been fixed. - Addressed some UI crashes.

I just played my daily PA game, now I got to play another one! how dare you mess with my schedule interesting to see such a big update on a Friday though, hopefully it doesn't keep you guys there all weekend fixing something.
I got excited about the new update, but a couple of things are broken now. (all mods disabled) -Not possible to select a spawn spot, I have to wait for the timeout so the game picks a spot for me. -Lights on units have disappeared -Mouse pointer artwork is gone, I can no longer see if I'm assisting, building, attacking, moving etc. -Preloading planets instantly while I'm still randomly generating is a bit much.

After randomly generating a couple of systems while setting up a session vs one AI, my RAM fills up (8GB, had 5 GB free before starting the game), and PA.exe crashes. This update broke my game It feels like there is something blocking user input at the start of the game. Pings don't work before I spawn, no icon or sound. Directly after the timeout and I finally get spawned, I get bombarded with the pings I've done prior.

They are. And when I turned off the mod, the metal icons looked like the old ones again. Maybe @superouman is just now noticing the icons from the mod?
