Literally every single match I have played today (about 15 or so) has had three Supports at the very least on their team. I'm so tired of every match having 7-10 Supports running all over every match. Can they be nerfed, or can people somehow decide to just use a different character? I like class-based games because they usually involve teamwork, strategy, and a little bit of this/that, but the whole game has just become a regular TPS with everyone being the same character.
I went 40 and 11 as a Support, my friend went 40 and 10 as a Sniper. Including me, we had 3 Supports. Can you guess that we lost? We had no one to push the damn lanes or anyone to assault the other teams base! A 3 Support team is a handicapped team IMO. Pissed me off that we lost....
If you ask me, the best thing to beat a Support Heavy team is a no-Support team (or maybe just 1). Supports tend to turtle, and while word has negative connotations I dont mean to portray, it describes it perfectly. They spend all game in the base healing up super turrets and blasting you up close with a Shotgun. Good, that's how it's sort of 'meant' to be played, but what's always going to be difficult to defend against regardless of class is every enemy player attacking at once. If they're all in the base easting pasta and so is your team... you've got no chance of having fun.
Thats exactly what happened to me. While Im out there pushing the lanes taking out turrets, trying to get my bots in, the other 2 Support guys were hacking turrets in our base and over healing everything in sight. Thats great and all until OT when the juice rushes come in and those lil hacked turrets do absolutely nothing. Support is only a good class for those that know how to use it, same for the other classes too.
Pushing lanes as support is particularly hard because bots tend to resist bullets and airstrikes need time to cooldown. So at the very least, you can push your own bots to their choke point, then keep building juice until you can start laughing at their D.
Exactly this. The only way to beat a Support turtle strat is to coordinate with your teammates. You don't even need all 6 of your teammates to do this. I ran into a game where they had 4 Supports, 1 terrible assassin, and a Sniper. We won by using two Gunners, 1 Tank, and an Assault. I was one of the two gunners, and I was dedicated to pushing lanes, while the other Gunner, the Tank, and The Assault spent their time harassing one side of the enemy base. When I had both lanes pushed back to their base, we all charged in through the same door and decimated their entire team. Victory was quick after that.
1 Support is an Amazing counter to a Team of Supports. The Supports B can clear any FBs they have set up, and then depending on who is on your team... Assassin- SHURIKEN LAUNCHER!!!...and Smoke Bomb. The stars can rip apart things fast if you have RoF, and SBs can blind FBs. Sniper- Range, and Flak is pretty good, although you can barely out damage a Support healing a turret if you have gold RoF Tank-EVERYTHING! B to move to safety if you are tagged with ***. Rail Constantly to outrange them, and Grenade+Jet can rip apart turrets quick and they have no chance of out healing your Jet on Turret. Assualt-Pipes, and Bomb is your best bet. Lvl3 Grap can get you killed if you activate it in FB range. Gunner- Hardest Choice, SLOW so AS hurt bad, Mortars can do decent damage to Turrets/FB and they can't out heal it but it takes awhile and needs to be lvl3 passive. Support-AS their FBs, and keep your FB safe from their AS, and Corners.
