My game will not launch via steam on either of my computers running OSX 10.8.5. Hitting the button makes something appear and instantly disappear in my dock (no icon shows), and no log appears in the ~/Library/Application Support/Uber Entertainment/Planetary Annihilation/log directory. I can however, execute ...Steam/SteamApps/common/Planetary Annihilation/PA.app/Contents/MacOS/PA from the terminal and the game opens up normally. Before today's ~60meg update I could only start the game from the uber launcher (terminal execution did not work).
That's pretty weird. One thing I think did change is that there used to be a steam.txt file somewhere in the game files, and if the command line saw that it would immediately tell Steam to run the game and exit. So now we're back to steam not working. Are you sure your UberNet/PlayFab account is properly linked to your steam account?
I headed over to uberent.com/user/linksteam and it says everything is linked properly. Anything else I can try? This bug is driving me nuts =)
Only thing I can think of is upgrading to 10.9, but I haven't seen flood 10.8 people with similar complaints. Oh, and the usual: disable all mods (you can temporarily rename the directory to be extra sure), try clearing localstore (once again, you can rename and move it back if that doesn't help) Then: Gather all that information up into a bug report on bugtracker (see signature), and attach a system report. Steam client window -> Top menu bar -> Help -> System Information
