Game refuses to load - no messages, no errors

Someone very kindly gifted me a copy of MNC, but since installing the beta I can't actually get the game to run. I double-click the game in Steam, my Steam status changes to the green "In game - Monday Night Combat" for a brief moment, and then goes back to the blue "Online".

The last game this happened with was Alien Breed: Impact, another UE3-powered game. I forget what the solution was but I believe it involved uninstalling and reinstalling the UE3 redistributable, which I'm about to try now.

Nevertheless, here's a thread for the issue should anybody else be having it (or should anybody at Uber have another solution for me).

Update 1: Apparently MNF doesn't come with the UE3 redist, and I can't find a legit place online to download it. Looks like I'll have to reinstall Alien Breed, which I know comes with the redist, and go from there.

Update 2: Uninstalling and reinstalling the UE3 redist did nothing. The game absolutely refuses to run. Boo.

Update 3: Going to try uninstalling the Redist, rebooting, and reinstalling it again.

Update 4: Uninstalling the redist, rebooting and reinstalling worked perfectly. Hoorah!
