Is it just me or is your game also not using the orchestral score?
So, I am currently hearing through the music using MusicPlayerEx, and it sounds waaaay different compared to the in-game music. So, is my game not using the orchestral score? I can't really describe it, it's just really different and it confuses me alot. Basically the music I'm hearing through MusicPlayerEx is a bit darker and brassiererer than the in-game music.

Here's a video comparing the menu music:

It could be that the MusicPlayer has an EQ and the game menu does not.

No, it's really sounding different. If there's an EQ involved, I want that thing. But that's not sounding like some EQing, that sounds like a whole different recording.

There is an issue that causes extracted music files to play quite a bit slower than intended. That is definitely what's happening here and it's something the devs have confirmed. I don't expect them to do anything about it since all early access players will be getting the full soundtrack as a download later on.

Funny is I agree on the version of music player ex being better in the video. Way more powerful.

I suppose it's related to how playback works in-game, e.g for now it's just plays to be background music. Still I don't feel like slowdown of playback make extracted music any better because it's just not feel correct.

Also long time ago I extracted non-orchestral music and converted it using ffmpeg and there wasn't that much difference. Possible I should try do that with current music.

Speaking of the music, does anyone else think PA_Music_Misc (12) is the best thing ever made?

Messing with play speeds can be fantastic fun - not just for PA's soundtrack, but for other really powerful classical. It's a bit uncouth, and probably frowned upon by the rest of the classical-listening community, but here's to not caring :)

There are I think 18 primary tracks and then another 17 in PA_Music_Misc.fsb
    *Edit*
It may actually be called "PA_B03"

I have a vinyl for Fairytale of New York by The Pogues back home in my dad's huge record collection. Listening to it sped up is a true work of art.

Surprisingly, yes. I don't know which is the original speed, but bring that slower menu music in because it's AWESOME.

That slowed down version sounds a lot more badass!!!
But I don't know which one I like best, because it might just be a bit too slow ;)
