Game Music that makes you Emotional.

    Have you ever heard a particular music in a game and the song sets you in an emotional state? Like you can almost feel with the character you are playing as, or better if you can feel like you ARE the character in the game as if you were present during the happening, or at least that makes you feel a particularily nostalgic? I listen to music like that after hearing it a long time ago, and I still find myself going back to those soundtracks to listen to them and relive the moment in my mind. :)

    Anybody else had experiences with game music that had a strong effect on you or put you back in the game remembering the moment?

    Did you have the GOTY edition? They had some cool/werid addons in that. A couple of new maps, some new weapons, ect. I love UT3, but yeah, the first one was the best one.

    The one piece of music that sticks out to me the most is the world map music for the Land of Magic in Chrono Trigger. It's just great, and unfortunately you can't come back and listen to it after a certain point.

    Castle Crashers gets my vote for best overall music in any videogame.

    Both Oblivion and Fallout 3 had epic opening music and average ingame music.

    I second the votes for Oblivion and Red Alert 2.

    Some fan maps for C&C Renegade had some good ones. I like Mars and Carnage_Club_Xtreme. Who doesn't like a shootout at a nightclub?

    Background Music

    I was a big fan of Runescape and its soundtrack. NOTE: The proper usage of the word "its", didn't use "it's". I are smart. :) :p

    Doesn't this remind you of the sea?

    Or this of the most dangerous battle ever?

    Or this of traveling in dangerous, foreign, lawless territory?

    Mostly simple, but effective (though most people mute it, so it might just be me).

    Growing Wings from Drakengard (props to somebody who actually played that game). I could only find this version which sounds horrible with headphones.

    Other than that nothing really. Except for the MGS3 James Bond theme.
