Hey, a few weeks ago my PA:T gave me a message "connecting to Playfab" but then it said "offline" in the bottom right corner. Since then I can't start any games, nor join them in multiplayer. I asked the support for help they told me to disable antivirus and firewall. I did it but nothing worked. Now they didn't answere me since over one week and I have no clue how to fix this issue. It would be very nice, if you could help me. My specs are: MSI Geforce GTX770 AMD A10-5800K APU 8GB ram Windows 10 pro 64x Thanks I'm sorry if anything is wrong, like the messages I got, but my game is in German so I don't know how it is in English.
Can you try doing a clean boot in Windows and see if that helps. If it does, then it means a program is interfering with PA. Instructions are here: https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/kb/929135
Can you post a PA log from a session that fails? You can find those logs in "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment\Planetary Annihilation\log". You can just copy-paste that location in the address bar of Explorer. There will be a whole bunch of them, so the easiest thing to do is to delete them all. Then start PA and observe that it is stuck in offline mode and you can't join games. Then close PA again. A new log will have been created, which you can upload here using the "Upload a File" button on this forum.
Thanks! Well, it looks like your network settings are a bit off, as PA is complaining about not being able to even resolve localhost. Localhost is your own computer so it should always be able to connect to that. Can you try resetting a few things related to the network? To do so, we need a command prompt with Administrator rights. So press Start and type "cmd" in the search field. It should show an entry called "Command Prompt". Right-click on that and choose "Run as Administrator". Then execute the following commands: Code: ipconfig /flushdns ipconfig /registerdns net stop dnscache net start dnscache netsh winsock reset catalog netsh int ip reset reset.log
Ok, the Game works, but I've got another problem now, I can't play Titans. It says I have to buy Titans, but I have Titans and I already could play it bevore I had the other issue
Don't be too hard on Uber. They recently had to lay off some people, one of which did support, so they are still readjusting. If your ticket with them is still open, you might want to close it if you haven't done so already. The log you submitted shows that it does find the PA: Titans install. Can you check Settings -> Gameplay and see if you have an "Active Product" setting? You should be able to set that to Titans. Otherwise, try restarting Steam.
Is your UberID linked to Steam? If so, can you try starting the PA.exe directly and try logging in with that?
Hmm, odd. Can you try going to "%LOCALAPPDATA%\Uber Entertainment". There will be a "Planetary Annihilation" folder there. Can you rename that to "Planetary Annihilation.bak" (while PA is closed of course). Then Start PA again. Does it show Titans in Settings -> Gameplay -> Active Product then? If not, close PA, delete the newly created "Planetary Annihilation" directory and rename the old one back. That will restore all of your settings and save games and such.
May this help? By the way, the game starts with the Titans title screen, then it connects to Playfab and I am in the normal PA menu...
Oh, I see: Code: [15:17:42.407] WARN [JS/game] coui://ui/main/game/start/start.js:651: Name André (1) taken. Trying another one. That could mean that the link between your UberID and Steam account got broken somehow. So when Steam logs you in, it can't find the Titans expansion in your account and reverts back to Classic. I'm afraid you'll have to contact support@uberent.com to get that fixed. I'm not sure why this happens every now and then.
